Lisa dice che in questa stagione si è sentita un pò più nervosa, soprattutto per il fatto di aver avuto un episodio tutto per sè, ma crede che questo sia dovuto al fatto che Cuddy sia un personaggio di peso ormai nella serie. Lisa die che l'episodio dedicato a Cuddy ha reso più interessante il suo personaggio perchè l'ha mostrata come una donna con una grande forza che si occupa di 100 cose tutte in una volta. Lisa dice che Cuddy ha qualcosa di più profondo con House ma vuole provarci con Lucas. Lisa dice che non si può cambiare un personaggio di uno show perchè si dovrebbe cambiare lo show a quel punto, ma si possono scoprire nuove cose su di lui/lei nel corso delle stagioni. Il fatto che Cuddy oggi abbia una figlia la fa essere più ponderante. Lisa dice che spesso deve dire cose che non vorrebbe dire, ma dato che lo show non è incentrato su di lei, ciò che dice è una spinta per far evolvere le cose. Lisa parla della scena della doccia nell'episodio '5 to 9' (la cosa di sentirsi in imbarazzo davanti agli altri perchè nuda ma siccome li conosce bene ora, quindi l'ha fatto comunque), Lisa dice che gli altri sul set le hanno detto di stare tranquilla perchè nessuno avrebbe 'spiato' il suo corpo. Lisa dice che è felice di essere nello show, si è creata un pò di confusione su ciò che andrà a fare dopo House, ma per ora vuole solo concentrarsi sul presente.. -

"There was some confusion about whether or not I was planning on leaving the show," she told Sky. "I have no plans on leaving the show. I love being on House."
Edelstein added that the speculation that she was planning to leave emerged after something she had said was taken out of context.
"I think the confusion started when I was asked what I would do after House," she explained. "And I said something about, you know, seven years of a show is a great run, because seven years is actually what they own me for. But I wasn't insinuating that I would leave."
She continued: "If they want me around, I'll be around. I love being on this show, I love working with who I'm working with. I'm personally not making that choice and I hope it's not made for me either - I like being part of it."

She continued: "I think it makes her more interesting and her life more layered when she just goes out to get some. He is young, he is energetic, he has sex with her, he helps her to take care of the baby, he helps her organise her life and he's consistent. Those things are really nice to have in your life."
However, Edelstein added that she thinks Cuddy is more suited to House (Hugh Laurie).
"I don't know that she will ever really be in love with Lucas," she explained. "I think that what she has with House is much deeper. But I do think that she needed to try. Just to try and get something that on paper made a lot more sense. So I applaud her for doing that, but I don't want her to get too carried away."
House continues Mondays at 8pm on Fox in the US and Sundays at 10pm on Sky1 in the UK.

"Penso che la rende più interessante la sua vita in più strati Egli è giovane, è energico, ha rapporti sessuali con lei, l'aiuta a prendersi cura del bambina, aiuta a organizzare la sua vita e lui è coerente. Quelle cose sono davvero belle dà avere nella tua vita. "
Tuttavia, Edelstein ha aggiunto che Cuddy è più adatta a House (Hugh Laurie).
"Non so se sarà mai veramente innamorata di Lucas," ha spiegato. "Penso che quello che ha con House è molto più profondo. Ma io credo che lei aveva bisogno di provare. Lisa Edelstein ha ammesso di riporre le sue speranze in una relazione “vera” tra il suo personaggio, la Cuddy, e il mitico Dr House (Hugh Laurie). Parlando infatti con Sky, la Edelstein ha però difeso la decisione della Cuddy di intraprendere una relazione con Lucas (Michael Weston).
Visto il carattere forte del personaggio da lei interpretato, sarebbe stato poco realistico infatti aspettare, aspettare, e aspettare ancora. Questa relazione rende il personaggio della Cuddy più interessante, secondo l’attrice, anche in virtù delle peculiarità di Lucas.
Questi è infatti giovane, pieno di energia, ed aiuta la donna nelle sue faccende quotidiane, la sostiene, le regala, in sostanza, l’esperienza di una vera relazione di coppia. Tutto questo non toglie tuttavia il fatto che la donna sia comunque più legata a House.
L’attrice afferma infatti che il legame che c’è tra lei e l’eccentrico dottore rappresenta un qualcosa di più intenso e profondo, qualcosa che lega i due in modo tale da rendere la loro unione più salda, pur non essendo caratterizzata da alcun coefficiente di normalità.
