Elementary, which last week premiered to 13.4 million total viewers and a 3.1 demo rating — placing second on both counts for any new drama series — airs Thursdays at 10/9c.

Callie Thorne, who plays therapist Dani Santino on USA’s Necessary Roughness, will guest star on CBS’ contemporary Sherlock Holmes drama as Gregson’s former partner, sources tell TVLine exclusively. Her character, Terry D’Amico, is a veteran NYPD detective who shows up in Episode 6 amid discussion that she and the captain (Aidan Quinn) imprisoned the wrong man for a string of deadly home invasions years ago.

Prior to Roughness, Thorne played Jimmy’s widow Sheila on Rescue Me. Her other TV credits include The Wire, Prison Break, Burn Notice and Californication.

Lisa Edelstein has landed a guest-starring role on CBS' Sherlock Holmes adaptation Elementary, TVLine.com reports.
The House alum will play Heather Vanowen, the CEO of a high-end PR consulting firm who crosses paths with Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) after her company was apparently the target of a bombing.
How Elementary won't go there with Sherlock and Watson
Since her days of playing Cuddy on the Fox series, Edelstein had stints on The Good Wife and Childrens Hospital.
Elementary debuted last week to 13.2 million viewers and a 3.1 in the adults-18-to-49 demographic, winning the 10 p.m. hour in both measures.
Elementary airs Thursdays at 10/9c on CBS.

House alum Lisa Edelstein is moving from the hospital room to the boardroom by guest-starring on CBS’ modern-day Sherlock Holmes revival, Elementary. Dropping by in the seventh episode of the season, Edelstein will play a charismatic CEO of a high-end PR consultancy named Heather Vanowen.
Vanowen is labeled as a smart and confident businesswomen, who will cross-purposes with the brilliant detective Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) during his investigation into a deadly bombing that appears to be linked to her company.
Butting-heads with eccentric geniuses is nothing new for Edelstein, who is probably best known for her role as the uptight hospital administrator Dr. Lisa Cuddy on Fox’s long-running medical drama, House. Fans of the superhero-genre may not readily recognize Edelstein’s face, but perhaps remember her voice work as Lex Luthor’s Amazonian bodyguard/personal assistant, Mercy Graves, in Superman: The Animated Series, Justice League and Justice League Unlimited.
Following the House finale, Edelstein appeared in a multi-episode guest-spot on The Good Wife as Will Gardner’s (Josh Charles) feisty ex, Celeste Serano; she also appeared on Children’s Hospital as both herself and her popular House character, Lisa Cuddy. This year Edelstein co-starred in the Lifetime movie, Blue-Eyed Butcher.

It’s a fine day in the neighborhood for Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) over on the new CBS hit drama Elementary.
Leading ladies Callie Thorne (series star of USA Network’s ‘Necessary Roughness’) and Lisa Edelstein (series star of the long-running FOX medical drama ‘House’) with both be paying a visit to New York – in other words both actresses will be making guest appearances in the new series.
First up, Thorne will play Terry D’Amico in the sixth episode. Her character is a veteran NYPD detective who shows up “amid discussion that she and Captain Gregson (Aidan Quinn) imprisoned the wrong man for a string of deadly home invasions years ago”.
The following week (episode 7) Edelstein will guest as Heather Vanowen, the charismatic CEO of a high-end PR consultancy, who is described as bright and confident. She will cross paths with Holmes (Miller) “during his investigation of a deadly bombing that appears to have been aimed at her company”.
Before landing her lead role on ‘Necessary Roughness’, Thorne got her first big break on ‘Homicide: Life on the Streets’ and later appeared on TV shows such as ‘ER’, ‘The Wire’, ‘Prison Break’, ‘Burn Notice’ and ‘Rescue Me’. As for Edelstein, she had guest roles on ‘The West Wing’, ‘Leap of Faith’ and ‘Felicity’ before landing on ‘House’. And since that time she has lent her voice to ‘American Dad’ and made a guest appearance on ‘The Good Wife’ as well as one of the lead roles in the Lifetime made-for-TV movie ‘Blue-Eyed Butcher’.
‘Elementary’, now in its debut season on CBS, will air an all-new episode tomorrow night, Thursday, October 4 at 10/9c.
